ophis le serpentaire

Vincent Geminiani is probably best known for his track 'Ophis Le Serpentaire', it's the one that comes up most often on play lists and compilations. It is an amazing deep and lush beauty created by this master percussionist and composer for his amazing 1970 album 'Modern Pop Percussion' (the album was also released as 'Musique Pour Un Voyage' a few years later). Jazzland re-released this not too long ago on CD &; 7" for those who really need it.. 'Ophis' remains a timeless wonder...

Awesome selection Chris. ive been trying to work this into an upcomming set for the podcast. this whole LP is wonderful. OG is crazy money but there is a re-issue out there which is what i have. love those smokey beats.

hey Szandor
yeah the original is just plain out of range, unless i find it in a dusty crate somewhere, but the chances are slim out here. nice one, looking forward to the podcast :)
