If ever there was a track that was more of a Slow Jam than "You Me and He" by Mtume, I've yet to hear it. This twelve inch took me a bit by surprise when I first heard it, it's a bit avant-garde really. "Beyond" by Herp Alpert is yet another contribution, on his part, to the ever growing retro-active genre of Balearic Not Balearic, I think this may, in fact, be his best one. As a follow up to the awesome "Beginnings" posted by Mr. Keyz the track "25 or 6 To Four" reaffirms the concept that Robert Lamm (pictured) is a genius.
