Four Leaves

It's a public Holiday here in South Africa today, I'm not even sure what it's all about, pretty slack of me, anyway had a nice relaxing day and wanted to post this beautiful pastoral soul delight from back in 1973 because it's been that kind of day. Trainspotters and Nu Disco groovers will instantly spot that the rather brilliant BlackJoy uses the opening keys in his classy 'Untitled' which has just got remixed by a couple of big name dudes and re-released on Jimpster's Freerange label, he constructed an entire track out of them in fact, just two notes, but yeah good notes. I can't remember who else has used parts of those opening keys, but back in the 90's some French men used them in a downtempo track too. Ok so the track is Earth Wind & Fire's 'Clover' - very nice laid back stuff and appropriately compiled by ?uest Love on his excellent 'Babies Makin' Babies' compilation which came out on BBE about a year ago.
