Double Dipped

Recently I posted a Donald Byrd number which was produced by the Mizell brothers. Probably their biggest commercial success with production was with their work on the debut album by duo A Taste Of Honey from 1978 on Capitol Records. 'Boogie Oogie' is there of course, the album is also really jammed with delicious soul & jazz grooves lurking underneath the sweet Pop Disco and there's more than one example of sophisticated song writing. 'Boogie Oogie' recently got remade by Mr Dorfmeister into a fantastic modern dance floor item which is well worth hunting down. U get two tracks from Janice Mary Johnson & Hazel Payne's debut; 'Sky High' & the oft sampled and my favourite 'World Spin'. Disco dessert anyone?
