Rune Fever

Rune Lindbæk has a new album out on Noid Recordings called 'Klubb Kebabb', it's absolutely essential in my book, but going back to 2001, his debut solo album 'Søndag' came out on Repap, the quirkier, left field imprint to Paper Recordings. Here is 'Ok, Kjør Romskip' from this stellar release, it's a giant striding Funk & Nu Disco instrumental with massive sweeping strings and a hip shaking midtempo groove. Rune was previously involved with Those Norwegians, who were responsible for the mega midtempo Disco classic 'Dom B Sensi' and the Tech House classic 'Toons', but his later work reflects a bigger interest in all things Balearic & Cosmic & Disco which you'll hear a bit of on this track and for it's time, it kind of predicts a future frenzy with Slo Mo and the like.

Hey Joe, I wasn't sure what it was, but i know the man's stuff is mainly made up of edits of obscure things, thanks for pointing that out and i'll see if i can find it somewhere...

Liking this much more than the original to be honest. Is the rest of the album in this style?
