Balearic Not Balearic...

It's me again and I'm back with three Balearic styled tracks, a major detour for me I know but I just thought I'd try something new for a change. First up we have a tune by Babe Ruth that apparently went pretty "large" on the Swedish dance scene this last summer. I'm just going on hearsay here, but my point of view is that if it didn't go large then why the hell not? Secondly there's a tune by none other than Bob Seeger and his in between The System and Silver Bullet Band era project called Smokin O. P.'s. Now whatever you may think of Bob Seeger is fair play but please do bear in mind that The System were and are regarded as one of the greatest garage rock bands of all time. So hey, give it a listen, a'rebours as they say, take a chance. Lastly we play out with none other than Slobo Day by Peter Green, a song that I know each and every one of you has been looking for your whole life. It's when you hear it that you realise. Makrugaik

I believe the Babe Ruth track was the inspiration for Orange Lemon's "Dreams of Santa Anna" - just about the best thing Todd Terry ever did. Used to take the roof off the Hacienda in 89. Happy days.
