Monkey Monday

Per Cussion is apparently a Swedish act from the 80's who used a ton of electronic equipment, even video games to create their sound, accompanied with live instrumentation, they had various people doing vocals including Grandmaster Flash on a couple of tracks. 'Manhattan Jungle' is a crazy number which perfectly suits my mad Monday; kinda rushing about, kinda robotic, a little bit frenetic, angular, monotonous and exotic (though i cant think why my day might actually have been exotic). The track was first released in 1983 on their album 'Beatwave' and was also picked up by Micheal Reinboth for his tenth volume of 'Future Sounds of Jazz' on Compost back in 2005. It's got that city pulse to it for sure. Crazy stuff!
