More Black Cock

Dj Harvey takes on 'Lovefingers' by NYC band Silver Apples on his Love Hotel EP out on Black Cock back in the 90's. Avant-garde, psychedelic, experimental and muchos quirky, the original gets dubbed up a bit into a timeless, or certainly still very relevant edit that would go down at any Horse Meat Disco styled night, now and forever. 'Lovefingers's oscillating synths are pretty far out but nevertheless very catchy (a little crazy pop) and certainly extremely original. Apparently the band did reform in the last few years and have been making new music. Weirdly back in the late 60's this band were spotted at Max's Kansas City and signed by Kapp Records, home to Burt Bacharach and Jack Jones, Huh? I guess I should have known that the excellent Blog Lovefingers got its name from a song as cool as this.
