Crue L Records, home to Spikewave, The Crue L Orchestra and Port of Notes amongst others, enjoy some major cult status and rightly so. Port of Notes' (Daisuke Kojima & the exquisite Miyuki Hatakeyama) output, though limited, has been touched up and remixed by Lindstrom and ofcourse the Idjut Boys, which is how I came to hear them in the first place. 'Walk Through Happiness' from 2005 is a real exquisite, shimmery modern Japanese folk beauty; it's intricate, delicate and rather Balearic. Lindstrom does a great job of remixing it but I've decided to go with the original.
