Learning to Fly

Cloud is a very cool new re-issues label that just put out the very brilliant Droids 'Shanti Dance', their first release has Venus Gang's 'Learn to Fly' backed with an instrumental of Plastic Betrand's 'Stop Ou Encore', if u didn't like the originals vocals. 'Learn to Fly' is an epic erotic Cosmic Funk Disco beauty with a pulsing bass line and off planet keys. The track originally featured on their eponymous 1978 album which also includes 'Cosmic Daddy' and 'Take me Back to My Planet', though the album can also be found under the name 'Galactic Soul', which i think it was originally called before Apex picked it up. With titles like that, there's no doubt where they were coming from. Weirdly the 12" of 'Learn to Fly' only surfaced in 1982. Unmissable really, hunt this down...
