Midtempo Monkey

Amongst the forty or so new 12's and albums I just landed (whew - my bank manager now owns me) are the two new D-Classics releases, both are great. The first includes a massive re-edit of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's 'Welcome To The Pleasuredome', which how ever u might think it sounds, you're wrong, but if u think it might be brilliant, you'd be right. The second of the two newbies has this midtempo Cosmic Funk groove called 'Sauterelles', while on the flip there's a fantastic edit of Ken Lewis' 'Cosmic Cars'. I highly recommend both, along with the previous 3 releases, so far it's been an all class series, in my mind anyway. I have a seriously soft spot for all things midtempo, in fact I firmly believe a club night which focus' on midtempo stompers alone, might just be the ultimate night out for me, the name 'Shuffle Monkey' comes to mind, any takers?? Anyway Nico & Pierrot's edit of this unknown would certainly feature - check it out...
