Re-Sketch

Somehow, I've landed up focusing very heavily on edits here on A.N.O.E. The thing is often the tracks being edited need some refreshing, sometimes the producer in question will do things to the original which surprise, even astound. Sometimes it's just great to be able to play out an altered version of a classic. There are bad edits and untouchable originals.

Moving on.. those of you who might have enjoyed the Red Rack'em 'Jaded Disco' mix would probably be keen to know that Mr Rack'em does some great edits under the name Hot Coins. There are two sets of Hot Coin edits, which I know of; One which contains an edit of that awesome New York Community Choir track 'Express Yourself' (the original was blogged here previously by one time & sometimes missed A.N.O.E. contributor Makrugaik), The Rhythm Makers 'Soul On Your Side' & Miles Davis' wonderful 'Black Satin' ( I sadly don't own a copy of this release yet - did u get that Mr Rack'em? ;)). The other has a deeply funky re-working of QPSM Unit's 'Brooklyn Inferno Quadrophonic' for those who who dig a little deeper and tonights track 'Fantastic Voyage' by Lakeside. 'Fantastic Voyage' was probably Lakeside's biggest hit, from their 1980 album of the same name. Danny has exceptional taste in music, check out his current radio show and enjoy this stellar edit.

I am a huge fan of the original, and this edit maintains the funkiness of the original. Thanks.

Can't say I mind all these edits (at all), cuz there's so many good ones out right now. Also a lot of mediocre and not-so-great ones, so I appreciate you filtering out the bilge. Keep 'em coming, I say.
