Press Play #22 - Paul Williams

Paul Williams (aka Baleariksoul) is the first of the returning guests in the Press Play collection, he is also by no means the last. Late in June of 2007 Paul contributed the fourth mix to the then fledgling series, and a fine essential mix it was/is too. Since then Paul and his wife started 'A Party With No Name' ( a reference perhaps to Greg Wilson's 'Scene Without a Name' thread on DJH); a Cheltenham night for lovers of Disco, Balearic & other beardy types of tunes, they are currently looking for a new venue - for the minute then, it's 'A Party With No Name and No Home'. Paul continues to contribute to that classy operation Trackwerk, he's also a seller of fine gems on Discogs (go here to see what's currently in stock), it's possible this will be developed further into a site of it's own in the near future, and since he's currently a little less involved with the Beard Science crew, he'll be putting in time at the studio developing some sound output of his own. None of this matters at the moment because u have a truly superb and very adult mix of predominantly 80's 'Diskothèque' movers to download. It's a real beauty; 'Diskothèque' is a deep, late night, sweaty, street prowling, made for dancers & international Disco freaks affair, plus I have to say Paul's done the job without using much in the way of well known gems which is of course how we like it..
