Humberto Matias aka Social Disco Club's lovely Hands Of Time Gold label recently signed 4 new Dimitri From Paris edit's under his Dimitri From Tokyo alias, their eta in stores is the 1st of November. Dimitri seems ever present in Disco scenes around the planet and has been for many years; his distinctive French sound perfectly matched the rise of the Idjut Boys and Faze Action back in the mid 90's, the same as it has again, with the rise of Todd Terje and a whole host of Disco editing royalty, in more recent years. Simultaneously Pop and Dubby, Dimitri's music is always friendly, always fun and always deep, there's also that bubbling French flair (i know talk about stereotyping) with a little cheeky groove 'to go' on top. I recently played his Hands Of Time Gold version of 'Midas Touch' by Midnight Star from the EP; re-named here as 'Eberything I Touch Tulns To Gord', the track caused a mild panic on the dance floor, beautiful scenes!
