The opening moves/breaks on this Ron Hardy edit of Nightlife Unlimited's "Peaches & Prunes" is the stuff of grooving legend for me, the sort of thing you can mix in and out of a really long set with devastating effect, 'it's magic'. The rest of the track is really great too of course. The track originally came out in 1980 on their 'Just Be Yourself' LP. Nightlife Unlimited were a Canadian group who later adapted their lush disco sounds, with a new line up, for changing 80's dance floors, creating more electro material. 'Peaches & Prunes', plus a few other underground hits made them vital contributors to the Canadian Disco scene apparently.
