3 Track Sunday

It looks like the cold spell has broken out here in Africa, whenever I speak to foreigners they can't believe we actually have winters - trust me we do - and while the rest of u up there in the northen hemisphere are burning up, we've been having snow and the like. As its sunday I've gone for 3 lovely soulful groovers of various mid to mellow tempos; first up is Stockholm Cyclo's 'Cant Hide' which can be found on Beatfanatic's Soundscape label, its got a rich classic sound to it and some pretty wonderful vocals which I originally thought were a cut up off some undiscovered crate find, but it aint, info on the label says they're by M. Elino - lovely voice, Secondly off Chicago's classy label Still Music comes Benjamin Devigne's sultry 'Beginner', Last up off the very excellent Soulphiction album 'State of Euphoria' comes 'Love Thang' which can be found on Sonar Kollektiv. The album is simply brilliant with a range of really great, sometimes Theo Parrish- like grooves and even a few discerning dancefloor bombs.
