Press Play #15 - Ichi.One

My main problem of late has been a lack of time to do things for this here blog (beyond the normal single track posts) and as such, I have now got a number of Press Play's collecting digital dust on my heavy weight external hard drive. I'm going to do my damnedest to get 'em to you over the next weeks, for they are varied and excellent.

Ghent resident Ichi.One runs the very fine HomeCookin' site, this of course should be introduction enough but incase you didn't know he has been putting up excellent mixes on the www, initially to share with friends, since 2003. This was a time on the internet when very few mix site's existed out here (how times have changed). Pete (Ichi.One) was inspired by Mixoftheweek.com (who wasn't inspired by that genius Pirkka?) & Deeprhythms.com and it didn't take long for his site to find underground success (I personally have been downloading from HomeCookin' for years, back when I didn't even have adsl). So it's a real pleasure to have him guest for ANOE's ever growing mix series.

The mix is jammed with Homecookin' cosmic classics and then some. Pete describes it as "a bit of a soundtrack for a night in the city (red light district, gay bars, men with mustaches, wearing leather pants, you know - the sleazy side of the city ) from when the night-shops open till the first garbage-trucks hit the street ".
