surprise power - the real side b

Right let's start where I left off. It has come to my attention via the sharp eyed and eared Dr Sven of Italy, that what was given to you as Surprise Power side B, was in fact side A. It turns out that the mp3's I was given were mislabeled. So those of you who downloaded the mix should re-title your mp3 as Side A, and of course on careful listening there are noticeably more tracks in the mix than in the given track listing. So that's sorted (I'm not going to rename the side already given so if you haven't yet downloaded, remember to re-name it yourselves). So here's the real side b and you already have the tracklisting for that, so it remains for me to give you the correct side A listing, and thanks again to Dr Sven who has also added times for each track, here it is... oh a quick note, thanks for all the responses, it's good to know you all enjoying the blog.

Thanks for credit, Chris, and, obviously, thanks for uploading the "real" B side, which sounds just as good as the previous.
Discogs tracklisting for side A is actually correct, except for the two Macho's tracks - which are inverted - The Amazing Bingo Band's name - which lost the "amazing" attribute - and the incomplete title of Ganymed's track, but the mistakes are almost surely in the original record's cover (this is just to restore Discogs reliability reputation).

Thanks again, and keep up the good work,

- Dr. Sven -

yes indeed u are right again, it was the fault of the person who labeled the mp3's and not discogs, so i removed that... if u get a minute wont you do the same as u have for side b??

Well Chris, unfortunately I own just a few vinyls of the tracks in this compilation, having tracked down the others on the web in mp3 format.
Furthermore - you know that - many of the originals records have by now reached really prohibitive prices.
Anyway, I have some pretty rare gems worth listening to, i.e. two out-of-print, never published on CD, double-vinyl compilations by DJ Tony Carrasco, one from 1985 (http://www.discogs.com/release/1178636, check the price!), an absolute killer with an incredibly brilliant mixing style (it was released under SAAR Records label, and I presume it had quite a limited circulation), the other one (great as well) from 1980 (http://www.discogs.com/release/212241).
I've never been able to find mp3 versions of them on the net, which IMO makes 'em even more interesting.
I'd like to send some mp3 files of the mixes to you as soon as I manage to make a decent rip, just to hear your opinion.

Cheers,

- Dr. Sven -

well yes I'd like very much to hear them - they look very interesting.. my email is in my profile for when you do... thanks again and yes indeed these records have become incredibly expensive over recent times... I'm thinking of robbing a bank to satisfy my uncontrollable desire to own these and many other records ;)

Thanks for these! I've had them on repeat. One little id query: I have the break that starts at 10:08 (which is listed above as being by "Skyline") but it's on the extended mix on the 12" of "I think I'm Gonna Fall In Love" by Supercharge. Definitely the same track. What's the story with Skyline? Same band as Supercharge? Did one lift if from the other?
