future five

Five20East have an upcoming vinyl release called 'Death On The Highway', it's the first part of a trilogy of 12" releases designed to showcase new material from their artists, this one features recent StillLove4Music artist Andy Ash, Deep Space Orchestra, Cronk Family Enterprises and Harri & The Revenge. Digital versions will become available at a later stage. The 12" is an exploration of that 'pitched down house' sound the label is well known for. There is also an upcoming 6th Borough Project release (also on vinyl) on Instruments of Rapture, which if it's anything like the last one, will be absolutely essential, as well as a forthcoming 'Forever in their Debt' set of edits. By the end of February all these bits will be available. Before i get on with tonights post, I must mention 'Death On The Highway' is top notch club gear and the Harri & The Revenge track 'Rocky Mountain Drifter' is an ace midtempo party monster. Keep up with the goings on over at Ooft and you can also look forward to an exclusive Press Play from the Revenge in the not too distant future...

Speaking of The Revenge, their last set of edits, released at the tail end of last year, for L.E.S.S. Productions called 'Taps Aff' contained what was probably one of my favorite edits of '08 (though u may argue it's a mash up). Part Sharon Redd, part Q-Tip, 'Breathe & Stop' is an inspired feel good, old skool feeling, block rocker. Still immense!! right here, right here, omg so deep...

lovin the q-tip track - missed out on this one, love the stuff the OOFT guys are putting out. Revenge's re-works of Lost in Lost in Music and Isley Brothers's Between the Sheets are so tastefuly done. Classy.
