late nite love...

Back in 1980, long before Level 42 became the stadium filling Fusion fiasco they were in their final years (is that fair?), they made one or two excellent items, amongst them 'Love Meeting Love'. Though it verges on Acid Jazz at moments and it could probably do with an update, it has a delicious slo mo Disco House feel about it and along with Mark King's distant sounding vocals, it makes for great late nite listening...

Very fair comment about how they ended up. Sadly it all went wrong when the Goulds left and they went from a great funk band into a really mediocre pop/fusion effort. Real shame.
