Warbox is a new label dedicated to '21st Reggae for Modernists' and is run by non other than Ashley Beedle, their first 12" has two versions of a track by Gang Nairobi (Beedle & Ross Allen) featuring Saul Williams and another two versions of a track by The Warbox Allstars. They've also put out a seven inch which is an absolute stunner in my opinion. 'Kiss Dem Teeth (Version 1)' from the debut 12" is really doing it for me with it's raw Afro Funk feel and heavy dub moves. Ashley Beedle & Darren Morris work this simple yet effective dusty roots groove into a hip shaking & hypnotic track which feels like a crate find but is only a couple of months old. Piccadilly have copies in stock..

Thanks Bobby, Ive heard another warbox 12" and i gotta say it sounds damn fine, I'm thinking he's onto something pretty special here...
