Azteca

I just landed a copy of Azteca's eponymous 1972 album which came out on Columbia. The band featured both Pete & Coke Escovedo; Pete doing vocals, Coke doing Timbales, arrangement & production. Azteca played an accomplished hybrid of Jazz, Latin, Rock, Funk & Folk and recorded two albums. I got the album mainly for two tracks on the second side which are wonderful daytime 70's festival sort of tunes, the sort u might hear on a Giles Petterson set. You know the type; rich, nostalgic, beautifully executed, timeless, rootsy Latin Jazz monsters. Here's the title track for a jazzy Tuesday twister...
